A. G. Dickens

A. G. Dickens was a English academic and author.

He was born in Yorkshire in 1910. Educated at Oxford University, he served during World War II in the Royal Artillery. From 1949 until 1962 he was professor of history at the University of Hull and in 1962 he moved to the professor of history at Kings College, London.

He was a fellow of the British Academy.
