Motorway A1 (Serbian: Autoput A1, Аутопут А1), is the longest Serbian motorway. It starts at Croatian border in north-east Serbia and goes to Belgrade. In Belgrade, it crosses the city as a city motorway (southern bypass is under construction), where it also junctions with the A2. Then it goes in the direction of Niš, mostly in the Velika Morava river valley . Near Niš, it has a junction with A3. Beyond Niš, it has another 40 km to Leskovac. Beyond it, it currently ends, but the remaining part to the Macedonian border is under construction. The entire motorway is a toll road.
