[edit] Mission Statement:

To educate the hearts and minds of students for life[2]

[edit] Vision Statement:

The educated heart and mind embodies a reverence for natural and human life, a respect for excellence, an appreciation of beauty, a tolerance of and concern for others, and a willingness to reexamine old assumptions. Education is mastery without arrogance, openness to change, attentiveness not only to what is spoken, but to what is omitted, and finding romance and excitement in the endless quest for learning.[3]

UIL Classification: 13-5A[4]

[edit] History

In 1909, the state of Texas granted a charter for an independent school district to encompass the campus of Texas A&M University. By 1940, the school had grown to the point that it moved off the university campus, thus marking the birth of College Station ISD. Today, CSISD is one of three public school districts in Brazos County. A&M Consolidated High School is a comprehensive public high school with over 2300 students in grades 9 through 12.[5]

[edit] Pep Rallies

Consol High School makes all of its students to attend pep rallies for home games in order to raise school spirit and excitement. The students who do not wish to attend the pep rallies though, may leave the school at 3:15pm. No students are allowed to stay and hang around the school's premises if they are not going to attend.

Normal pep rallies last about half an hour. In a special occasion, for the Homecoming game, the students must attend the morning pep rally. To start off, they have clubs leading a "parade" holding banners or small floats. The clubs then walk across one part of the tiger track, in front of all the students. After that, the cheerleaders and bengal belles come in and dance their routines. The morning pep rally usually ends with a small game like throwing water ballons or a dance off with the tiger mascot.
