97.3 FM is the sister station to Brisbane's 693AM Classic Hits 4KQ station. Both stations are a part of the ARN (Australian Radio Network). 97.3 FM is a pop music station and is Brisbane's "More Music, Less Talk" station. Their phone number is (07) 3223 0973 There are a few main parts to the station and recently the station made some major changes to the schedule. The History
As of the 23/10/2006 the breakfast crew at 97.3 FM and 4KQ had a reshuffle after Marnie Titheradge (Marnie T) was offered another job. So Robin Bailey was brought in to replace her and Mark from 97.3 FM was swapped with Barbeque Bob (Bob Gallagher) from 4KQ for no apparent reason. So the breakfast show on 97.3 FM with Marnie T, Terry and Mark was replaced with Robin Bailey, Terry and Barbeque Bob and the breakfast show on 4KQ with Handy Gary, Laurel and Barbeque Bob was replaced with Handy Gary, Laurel and Mark.
The Announcers
Terry Hanson is a Comedian that has a wife and 2 children. Robin Bailey used to work at B105 with Jaime Dunn until she was dumped. She used to work as a fill in for Marnie T, Terry and Mark when they went on holidays but now she works on the morning show (see "The History"). She has a husband and 3 children. Barbeque Bob used to work at 4KQ (see "The History") and he has a wife and his children are now adults.
The Segments
The breakfast show has many segments and some of the segments have been removed since the new breakfast show was launched. At 5:55AM, 6:55AM and 7:55AM Robin's Entertainment News (formally Marnie's Mud) is aired. This sgement is all about the Hollywood and celebrity goss. At 6:05AM Tez Sez is aired. Tez Sez is Terry's weird look on the world (or at least his world). At 7:35AM you can play the 97.3 FM $1000 Minute where if you can correctly answer 10 questions in a minute you will $1000. If you can't get all 10 correct in 1 minute you win $10 for every question you get correct. Currently the blokes play every second day and the girls play the other days. Robin Bailey and Terry have a sidebet going where if at the end of every month the blokes win more money collectively, Terry takes out all the bloke winners to lunch and if the girls win more money collectively, Robin takes out all the girl winners to lunch. Every half hour you also get accurate news, sport and weather from the News Room from 5:30AM to 8:30AM and every 15 minutes you get 97.3 FM Traffic live from the 97.3 FM traffic helicopter from 6AM-8:30AM. A segment that has been cut is Terry's Top 5 which used to air at 8:05AM and was a comedy countdown of events. For example "Top 5 People Who'll Lose Out If We Lose Our Phone Boxes".
[edit] 97 Minutes Of Non Stop Music (Just Before 9:00AM-10:30AM)
Straight after the breakfast show, 97.3 FM goes into 97 Minutes of nonstop music. This is their key advertising point and is the most amount of nonstop (commercial free) music that is played in Brisbane in one go. Barbeque Bob hosts the music as a normal DJ just coming in to tell you what song is play next every now and then and then from 10:00AM, Dani Bellamy takes over as the DJ from Barbeque Bob.

From 10:30 97.3 FM plays more music and less talk for you workday. You get accurate news, sport and weather updates every hour from 11:00AM-6:00PM. From 3:00PM-6:30PM you get accurate traffic updates every 15 minutes live from the 97.3 FM helicopter. From 2:00 PM the DJ Changes to Paul Campion who is known as Campo. Campo will bring you home with great music until 7:00PM.
Variety Vault
From 12:00PM-2:00PM every weekday you get the variety vault. This is Brisbane's best mix of music with the most variety.

From 7:00PM weeknights Greg Hinks (Hinxy) will give you music that will relax you for a great night. At 7:20PM and 8:20PM, Hinxy is join by Robin Bailey (See "Robin Bailey, Terry And Barbeque Bob In The Morning") for Night Goss which is the same as Robin's Entertainment News in the morning.
97.3 FM's 9O'clock Countdown
Every night from 9:00PM - 9:20PM Hinxy brings you the 9o'clock countdown. He picks the top 5 songs from the current week in a particular year and plays them.
97.3FM's Big Chill
Every Monday from 10:00PM - 12:00AM Hinxy brings you the Big Chill. These songs are so you can chill off after a big Monday.
97.3 FM's Late Night Strip Tease
Every Wednesday from 10:00PM - 10:20PM is where Hinxy gets the live or acoustic versions of songs and plays them, essentially stripping off all the backing.
97.3 FM's Feel Good Friday
Every Friday from 10:00PM - 12:00AM Hinxy brings you Feel Good Friday with some of the best party music for a Friday night.

On the weekend you can get just about any DJ, though the most popular DJ's on the weekend are Hinxy, Campo, Dani and Paul Kennedy. You can also get News randomly across the weekend as well as Traffic and Beach reports in peak traffic hours. You also get randomly get 97 Minutes of Nonstop Music across the weekend especially on Sunday Night from 6:00PM.
97.3 FM's Saturday Night Party Mix
This can get very wild as 97.3 FM serves up 9 hours of party music for you weekend. This is the only time of the week when you get rap music.
97.3 FM's 80's Is Enough
Randomly across the week and weekend you can get an 80's is enough hour. This is an hour of all 80's music.
97.3 FM's Nothing But 90's
Randomly across the week and weekend you can get a nothing but 90's hour. This is an hour of all 90's music.
