[edit] Kosovo

Dear Editor, I would like to ask you to discuss edits to Kosovo before changing the article. The article has been the subject of many discussions and revert wars. Everything is discussed at: Talk:Kosovo. Also, you accused User:Osli73 from not being from the balkan region, but your IP address appears to be registered to the UK branch of the company Ticketmaster [1], suggesting you are also not from that area. Please assume good faith from anyone editing Wikipedia. Also, you might want to sign up for an account. Best regards and happy editing! --Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 11:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Dear Morgan,
What we see now on Kosovo is a very politicised version of the truth. This has been discussed many times in the talk page but with no effect, the pro-serb group always have it their own way. I strongly disagee with any status assumptions whilst the talks for the future of the province are underway.
I strongly disagree with Kosovo being shown as a part of Serbia, when it has not been since 1999. It is under UN administration and during these sensitive times any sort of politicised information on Wikipedia has a negative overall effect on perceptions of the country.
I can post this exact same text on the discussion page if it helps, but I do not consider a map of Kosovo being shown within Serbia to be neutral, and therefore I will change it.
Regards

Dear Steven, I understand your feelings, but I disagree with you that only Serbs see Kosovo as a province of Serbia. Have you considered it the other way round, that maybe only Kosovars and Albanians see it as NOT being part of Serbia (no offence intended here). Starting a revert war over this might get you blocked from Wikipedia, which certainly is not what anybody wants. Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 13:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Dear Morgan,

At the end of the day. The resolution 1244 contains the definition of the current status, if you can find a single reference in it that Kosovo is a part of Serbia I am happy to allow it. But there isn't... it refers to Kosovo as it being nominally part of Yugoslavia and governed by the UN until the final resolution.

I'd prefer to see these words rather than putting province of Serbia which is not true, and even more so putting it next to Vojvodina.

The map on the right should be of Kosovo, not of Serbia with Kosovo in it. The article is about KOSOVO not Kosovo in Serbia.

I know this will not be taken seriously, and that my comments will yet again fall on deaf ears. All I ask is that the article has a degree of neutrality during the negotiation process. This is a very serious issue, and will undoubtedly provoke editings.

If you the administrators decide to keep the current version, then you should put a NOTE on the article aknowledging the presence of those who are disputing the validity, as this article has a high degree of pro-serbianism.

Dear Steven,
I am taking your concerns very seriously and so have other people, which has started a new discussion on exactly this topic on the talk page:[2]. With regard to sources saying that Kosovo is a part of Serbia, MANY have been supplied so far: Talk:Kosovo#What other encyclopedias say. It is ok if you disagree with those sources, but it is not fair to state that no sources have been supplied. Cpt. Morgan (Reinoutr) 16:47, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Warning

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert a single page more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.

Because you already reverted the article 4 times, please stop doing it, the next time we will have to report you:
