[edit] Aston Villa

I haven't deleted anything, but looking at the Villa page history, it appears you are referring to two minor backroom staff members. No backroom staff need be mentioned other than the manager and the chairman, so I agree with whoever removed them. The article should be an overview of the football club for the general reader, not a list of every minor detail. See Arsenal F.C. or Manchester City F.C. for examples of featured articles about football clubs, which show the optimal level of detail. There are several sections which could be removed from the Villa article, as Wikipedia is not a news service or indiscriminate collection of information. Oldelpaso 17:28, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Just seen your note at User talk:Superlinus. Club secretaries are not generally viewed as notable, for example, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernard Halford. Oldelpaso 17:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
