[edit] Estimates about the binary

What is known is H=11.8, orbital period=15.4 hours. If albedo and density of the components were known, one could calculate their size and distance from each other. To get ballpark estimates of the likely range (better than "unknown") I tried a few values:

  • Albedo = 0.2 to 0.423 (the higher value is Vesta's albedo, relevant since these are V-type asteroids)
  • Density = 1 to 3.4 g/cm³ (lower value for a typical rubble pile, higher is Vesta's density)

Furthermore, equal size of the components was assumed. Then the range of size, mass and orbital distance values in the infobox were then been calculated using basic formulae. Strangely to get a size of 6km for the components, a very high albedo of 0.6 is needed. This seems unlikely! Deuar 17:19, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
