The group 7 Mile was one of two groups (the other being Allure) signed to Mariah Carey's Crave Records. The group was comprised of Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil' G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. They got their name from a street in their hometown of Detroit.

In 1998, the quartet released their first and only album, the self-titled 7 Mile. The album had two singles, "Just A Memory" and "Do Your Thing." "Do Your Thing" was the group's most successful track, and reached #12 on the R&B charts.
