[edit] March 31st 2006
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. . This is your first formal warning. Please discuss your edits with the other editors on the Harry Potter pages. You may also wish to start your own user account rather than editing from an anon IP. Other editors will be less likely to suspect your edits as vandalism. David D. (Talk) 15:56, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Why are you shy of using the talk pages for the HP articles? The least you can do is discuss your sources since others disagree. David D. (Talk) 23:05, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. These edits do not agree with consensus. [edit] Use about Talk Pages
I would be happy to post my comments on the Talk Page however, I am having trouble getting the talk page. When ever I click "Disscussion" I always get a blank screen. -User Talk: 72.129.123.139
- Great, this is good to see you want to use the talk pages. However, at present you can only edit this talk page. Once the block ends you will be able to edit the harry potter talk pages. Good luck. David D. (Talk) 02:47, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reply to Evilphoniex about Actions
As above, Evilphoniex I belive asked me to explain my actions.
1. I've checked IMDB and Leaky Cauldron and they've both confirmed David Bradley.
2. For the Expected/Possible Cast list your evidence shows that the website (I forget which one) has confirmed John Cleese
3. I have found on 6 websites that Isaacs is returning including Leaky Cauldron
4. I know that it was Leaky Cauldron who put an interview on there saying that Gambon as Dumbledore had been confirmed
5. There is some website that says Young Snape, Young Sirius, and Young Remus Lupin have been casted. Not sure though which ones though.
6. On your Wikipedia Page on Maggie Smith you have her confirmed. I am not sure what this means but that's where my source was. She is also confirmed on Leaky Cauldron
7. Brendan Gleeson is confirmed on Leaky Cauldron cast.
8. Tiana Benjaman is confirmed on IMDB.
Any more questions about me changing the cast and you not agreeing? Just ask under here.
Please do not change this format.
Sincerly, Talk: 72.129.123.139
[edit] Questions and Comments for Talk: 72.129.123.139
Thank you for responding to my notice. I appreciate your willingness to research and verify your information. What would be helpful is for you to provide actual links to your sources...it's one thing to say that someone's been confirmed on Leaky, for example, it's more helpful to provide an actual web citation. The easiest way is you just include a link within brackets, for example if I wanted to link to http://www.wikipedia.org, I would type [http://www.wikipedia.org], which would render out like this: [1]. Another thing that would be helpful is for you to explain your actions on the Talk page of the article. A lot of editors are having questions about some of your edits, and it would be a helpful demonstration of good faith on your part to post to the Talk page. Another thing that would help would be for you to mention some of your reasons for changing things in your edit summaries, so people have an idea of why you are changing something. Please also do not remove citations from the article. If you think that a citation is inaccurate, please post a note on the Talk page of the article challenging the citation. Other editors will be happy to double check the link for verification.
For now, I'd like you to not edit the article again just yet. I would however encourage you to post to the Talk page of the article and explain some of your reasons, and help us work towards making the article more accurate. Please take some time to work with us before editing the article again, that will go a long way towards reaching a level with the article that everyone is happy with. Does that all make sense? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 05:33, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- It might be good if you start an account too. Other users will not automatically assume you are a vandal if you have a User account. David D. (Talk) 05:41, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
72.129.123.129, I love Leaky a lot, but the problem with their cast list is that it doesn't cite any sources. Nor does IMDb. So, while for most of the two are reliable, until they start telling us where they get their information, we can't use them in the article. Not until WB, the BBC, or the actor him or herself announces their confirmation, we cannot move them to confirmed. John Cleese was confirmed on one site, Harry Potter Fan Zone, but nowhere else. The citation is there to show the rumor, not that he is confirmed. Jason Isaacs said in the latest article about him, that he is still in negotiations. It is not entirely confirmed.
That basically covers most of your points, since most of them cite Leaky. The rest cite IMDb, with out a citation, and Young Snape, Young Sirius, and Young Lupin have also not be confirmed by WB. Thanks for speaking to us about this though! --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c15:20, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Leaky Cauldron Interviews
I also have reasons to think that IMDB has not been updated in a while because it still has George Weasley in Negotiations.
The Leaky Cauldron gets there infromation from interviews with the person. Go to the Leaky Cauldron and look to see where it says above each confirmed actor and actress, Interviews, etc.
That's where they get infromaton. IMDB, I am not sure. Here's a start. [2]
- I'd wait until it shows up on MuggleNet's OoP Casting Page because they list their sources there. I'm staring at Leaky's fifth move page right now and don't see anything that says where the interviews are taken from. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c 20:28, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
-
- You'll see a picture of Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger. I am suprised you can't see the interviews. Above there names is says, Biography, Interviews, etc. Click on interviews and see what happens. But yes, I'll wait until it's shows up on Muggle Net. Here's one on Bradley: [3] Make sure to scroll down. 72.129.123.139
I see the section that says Interviews, but it's empty for most of the characters, including David Bradley. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c 21:23, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Something seems wrong. [4] At the botom of the interview it says he is returning for Movie 5. It's kind of strange that I can see something that says Bradley is returning and you can't. Did you click interviews? It is the same on Dame Maggie Smith? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.129.123.139 (talk • contribs).
Yes, it is. I go to the link, go down to the section "Movie 5 Actors," where there are photos of Dan, Rupert and Emma at some photo shoot. Then there are all the actors who are so-called "confirmed" for OoP. All the way at the end of this list is David Bradley, who's right below Maggie Smith. I click on Bradley's section, which opens up and starts to read, "David Bradley (Argus Filch) / b. Apr 17, 1942 - Yorkshire, England / Bio - News - Interviews - Images - Web Sites / David Bradley has long been considered by many as one of the great distinguished actors of the British stage […]" I click on the "interviews" link. Nothing under the heading "Latest Davis Bradley Interviews." --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c 23:42, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Again, thanks for participation in discussion. That's very helpful. The reason you can't get to the Talk page is probably because you're still blocked. There's probably another day or so left on it. I'm willing to unblock you, but only if you agree to edit the Talk page only and not the actual article for now. To respond to Fbv65edel, personally I don't have any real issues citing IMdB or Leaky...I am simply more concerned that we cite something, and don't just say that something is or isn't true. I feel like if ImDB or Leaky makes an assertion, and we link to it, and it turns out to be innaccurate, well you can't say we didn't try. That and it can of course be fixed as soon as the error is demonstrated. I'd say it's something to discuss on the article talk. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 00:43, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- My personal response to this is that it be treated under rumors until official confirmation from the actor or WB, but if that's what you feel, I allow your much superior admin knowledge to take precedence over mine. Thanks. --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c00:51, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well don't get too excited, this is not an Admin thing, that's just my opinion as an editor. I'm only Always RightTM about Wikipedia policy ;-). But thats just my personal opinion, don't let the mop fool ya. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 01:08, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Run out of argument?
I'm guessing from your lack of a reply, that you've run out of argument after my reply to your questions. Oh well, I'm prepared to let bygones be bygones...etc. Foxearth
- Or perhaps the user doesn't like dealing with your arrogant phrasing. You need to settle down and be a little more diplomatic with your word choice. Also, why not sign in, if you're going to claim to be a registered user, so we know you actually are that registered User? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 14:11, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Is this question directed to Foxearth or me?- 72.129.123.139
- EvilPhoenix is talking to the user who claims to be Foxearth. You will see in the history that the comment was written by 147.69.51.119, who signed the comment [[User:Foxearth|Foxearth]]. But, 72.129.123.139, I would strongly encourage you get a WP user name. It's harmless. :D --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c/sup> 00:43, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello, yes - sorry, I often sign in as an unregistered user because my computer keeps logging me out for some reason. I didn't mean to appear arrogant and I'm sorry for any inconvenience! I can assure that I am the registered user that I claim to be and I would need no reson to impersonate them. Foxearth 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming, Foxearth. Did not want any user who shouldn't be here on the talk page. And by the way, since April 1st, I have edited a Wikipedia page and I did change the format a little in Harry Potter and the HBP but besides from that I haven't removed any other valid infromation. And yeah, I edit other things. 72.129.123.139
It's no skin off my nose, as I said before I made a mistake - It's water under the bridge now. I recommend you join as a user here, I'm sure you would make a valuable contribution! Foxearth 14 April 2006 (UTC)
Got a WP user name. ForestH2
What happens if you forget your password?
[edit] ForestH2
I got an account and for anyone who wants to comment I would suggest putting it on that website but if you like I will be checking this website once and a while. Foxearth has already posted on my talk page. ForestH2 02:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
I was just going to say howdy, in a friendly non-arrogant manner as EvilPhoenix is under the allusion that I am. I suggest he rethinks that through... Foxearth
Something must be wrong with your computer....This page is under my watchlist and your computer logged you out and I don't think that you have an arrogant manner although Evilphoniex disagrees with me. Howdy and I agree that this is a friendly non-arrogant manner. ForestH2
