Perhaps you should explain how it is essential that Michael Jackson be referred to by the derogatory tabloid title of choice “Whacko Jacko” in the opening sentence of this article. It doesn’t seem to follow the lines of the NPOV policy for this to be continually inserted here. Although “King of Pop” is a more formal tile for Michael Jackson I chose to remove it also as a neutral compromise, as it is not entirely necessary in itself. I’ve explained in the discussion area that this title should be moved to an area where it has more significance, if implemented at all.
It's a fact that he is known by that name. It does not need to be NPOV if it is a fact. Jwissick(t)(c) 05:07, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.Jwissick(t)(c) 05:09, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
It is a fact that the derogatory name is used predominately by his critics and has no significance at this point in the article. There is no reason for this to be repeatedly inserted here. I’ve already stated my reason for removing it.
