User talk:70.71.3.193
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, 70.71.3.193. As I'm sure you've noticed at the bottom of the page, contributing content to Wikipedia licenses it under the GFDL, which means you do not retain normal copyright restrictions: If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.
If you'd like to make large changes to the content of Hutchison effect or John Hutchison, you're free to do so, but if your changes are reverted, please discuss them civilly on the article's talk pages so that we can approach them as a community and verify the facts. Changes you contribute need to be based on verifiable facts rather than first-hand experience. See Wikipedia:Verifiability.
Continuously replacing the article with your own content is called revert warring, and is not tolerated. If you persist, your IP will be blocked. I'm sure you can understand that these articles are rather controversial and I hope you cooperate. — Omegatron 22:01, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
Also, you're posting article content to the talk page, which is the wrong place. The talk page is for discussion. — Omegatron 22:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
- who asked you to remove all of the current links ? you think you know anything about it at all? why then are you continuiously posting bull crap? ten year old dis information. your not going to win this one. we will treat you just like any other dis informants.
- you dont want your bull crap edited mercilessly? dont post it either. Whats your motive?
-
- FWIW, the IP address 70.71.3.193 is registered to Shaw Cablesystems G.P. of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and is apparently geolocated in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
-
- Speaking of motives, note that both John Hutchison and at least one of his supporters, Mel Winfield, apparently live in the greater Vancouver area. (The website Space Telescopes, which hosts the stuff by Mel Winfield, seems to be registered to a third person who gives an address in Vancouver, but who may, for all I know, have nothing in particular to do with Winfield.)
-
- Shawcable.net anon, please calm down and try to govern your behavior here at WP according to our policies and guidelines. Thank you---CH 03:36, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

- It seems you might be upset that other WP editors (including myself) reverted "a whole day's work" on your version of the article. Helpful suggestion: click on history of say Hutchison effect, find your preferred version, open the edit window and copy and paste the whole thing into this page. In WP culture, this is sometimes called "creating your own version in your own user space", which you can then polish. When you are happy with your version, you can put a notice in Talk:Hutchison effect asking for other Wikipedians to compare User:70.71.3.193/Hutchison effect with Hutchison effect and to comment on your proposal to replace the existing article with your own version. Frankly I think the chances of getting approval from the community are pretty slim, but this would be civil way to proceed, rather than edit warring and name calling. This would probably would be less aggravating for you. Fair enough? ---CH 03:51, 27 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks anyway, the truth needs no approval, it is not found here, jokes on me. I really have no time or desire to be assimilated here. What I asked is not unreasonable. I refuse to allow myself to be dragged in or concerned any further, we do get at the most 2.5 million hits in one month on our site. I will make my point about this elsware where I administrate and moderate. As for motives, I've never been paid one cent by anyone for anything I have done re: John Hutchison. Nor do I have a single thing to gain being bothered. I am just privy to the truth and his friend.70.71.3.193 04:58, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

Please stop making personal attacks. These will be reverted. Repeated personal attacks can even get you blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Pjacobi 19:22, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
