It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 06:47, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigate edit wars. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 06:48, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for vandalizing Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. --Nlu (talk) 06:50, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

as requested:

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Nlu for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Abusive sockpuppet Your IP address is 70.5.174.56.

Using annother ip address is sock puppetering in a sense. thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 09:32, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request.

Request reason: "The sock puppet claim is silly. I merely used another router to continue my sock puppet claim on the member of the clique who is harassing me. As you can see, they'll do anything to stop me from making my case."

Decline reason: "Fighting sockpuppetry with sockpuppetry is not the best way to deal with this situation. Block stands. -- ZsinjTalk 14:29, 11 September 2006 (UTC)"

Administrators: This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.

Thank you for a somewhat rational responses (Zsin and Fenton.) So when will the original/actual sockpuppet and sockpuppeteers be blocked? They seem to be continuing with the abuse, and that's not any way to make this situation go away. I suggest a 30-day block for each of them. 68.246.76.187 16:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

  • When the process is concluded, we will block, not block, chastise or not chastise according to community feeling and precident. Calling for long, punitive blocks on editors is just as wrong as using fire to fight fire with your own sock. All you get is a bigger blaze. Please cool off, calm down and relax. It's not like Wikipedia's editors haven't dealt with a thousand cases similar to this one already. Trust us. ЯEDVERS 19:27, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
