[edit] Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on [[user talk:my Talk page|my talk page]], or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!
Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian.--Avogadro 16:53, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] regarding List of cities in the United States

- The list was intended for incorporated areas, regardless of size or stature. The list for California was fine as it was due to the fact that every place listed was incorporated by law. You would have to delete cities from other states that are "unimportant". I don't mind if you propose a population threshold of incorporated places to be in the list to make the list shorter. Besides, the population section needs to be deleted due to the fact that we've already have a page with population figures List of United States cities by population. I agree that the list should be shorter but we need to set a threshold for the cities to be listed, in which, once again, I'm in favor of. Any suggestions? Feel free to shoot me a message, Thanks --Moreau36 21:35, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

- Huh? When you was rude? See the talk page of the article and you'll see the fact that I (and another editor) are thinking revamping the page to the top 10-15 cities per population for each state plus deleting the population list at the bottom because there is already a page for that. Read my comments of the article's talk page, please. --Moreau36 16:13, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
