[edit] AfD Nomination: Nick Long (Cult)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem to me that Nick Long (Cult) meets these criteria, I have started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nick Long (Cult). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, an administrator will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. --  Netsnipe  (Talk)  12:09, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

The article I am talking about is not this Nick Cult article, but another one. It has a deletion template on it, but it is not listed here in the debate. How does an administrator consider user comments when the page to be deleted is not listed here? 69.252.192.56 12:12, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
What's the name of the article so I can see what deletion template it's got on it? There's a few different one's it could be. --Casper2k3 12:37, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
It used the new "prod" template, which doesn't go onto the AfD page, apparently. Thanks. 69.252.192.56 12:42, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
From WP:PROD:
Contesting a proposed deletion:
  • If you do not agree that the article should be deleted without discussion you can do the following things:
    1. Remove the {{dated prod}} tag from the article, noting this in the edit summary.
    2. Optionally, you may also edit the article to try to address the concerns of the tagging editor.
    3. If you feel that the article should be deleted, but not without discussion, you may nominate the article for an Articles for deletion debate. This is also optional.
So basically you can remove the {{prod}} tag yourself - but that won't stop someone nominating the article for Articles for Deletion - so your best off doing no. 2 (editing the article to address the concerns of the tagging editor). Hope this helps. --Casper2k3 12:52, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
