Ah, I do remember that. While I can understand your wanting to have an article in Wikipedia, my judgement was that the article's primary purpose was to promote or advertise -- particularly, the nature of Wikipedia has always left us vulnerable to such things, and so we have policies and guidelines involved autobiography and emphasizing that Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. In particular, the Wikimedia Foundation recently opted to add criterion G11 to the criteria for speedy deletion, and that's the basis for the page's deletion.
