[edit] Locking multiple pages

In the last day, it appears you have locked a number of different pages including Wolf Blitzer, Jack Cafferty, & The Situation Room. Please, could you explain your added protection tags for these articles. To a certain extent, you appear to be the only editor pressing for the protection and modified versions without the controversy sections in Blitzer & Situation Room, with nearly every other editor constantly revising to the past versions with it included.
