You have been blocked for a certain amount of time, as stated in the blocking policy for vandalism. To contest this block, add the text Please do not erase warnings on this page. Doing so is also considered vandalism. |
My response: Look guys. i don't mean to do Vandalizm, i didn't even know that i'm not allowed to change things, it's just that what you guys wrote were wrong, and i want to correct it. Please, i know that you think that i'm wrong and that i'm just putting opinions, really, and also it's just that i get hurt everytime you guys are writing something that is not true, seems like an opinion or something else like this, like when you guys wrote this: walt called it the plausible impossible [it is an official name, it's called the plausible impossible], look guys if i'm not allowed to do any of these, i'll sign on and become a member, but if not, just tell me that i can't do any of these and i'll leave wikipedia, i won't visit it anymore, i promise. i didn't know anything about this, really. I didn't even know any of this, please? {{unblock}}
Hi, it's not really up to me but I think you deserve another chance. When your block ends or if you're unblocked I suggest you get a username, have a look here and start off editing articles you don't feel too strongly about. I'm fairly new here but if you have any questions feel free to ask me on my talk page and I'll do my best. Good luck - and don't worry about the block, it'll be over soon and you've learnt not to make the mistakes you've made so far.--Lo2u 23:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Thk you. i will edit stuff but i rarelly have anything that's not much to me, but i'll find one, and i just want to say that sometimes i'll have to delete stuff, like delete or rename a page, but don't worry i'll sign on, and well you guys tell me what i can do?
- Generally deleting large amounts of text from an article, or renaming it, requires a concensus to be met on the talk page over these actions. If you don't have a concensus/haven't tried, your edits will more-than-likely be reverted, even as a logged-in user. Killfest2 00:46, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, yes your contributions are welcome. Let me know when you've got a username I'd like to give you any help I can. As Daniel Bryant says, before you do any large-scale deleting or moving you'll need to discuss it. Otherwise it'll be reverted, you'll get warnings and it'll lead to the problem you have now. Try to use edit summaries as well so people know what you're doing. Best. --Lo2u 00:52, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Can i just show you guys what i plan to do, and give you 2 reasons why, then i'll see if you approve, and if not i'll tone it down unless i feel it's gone too far?
-
- You'd be better to have this exact discussion on the talk page for the article which you propose changes for - it's the people who have an association with the page who have to reach a concensus, not us RC patrollers. Killfest2 00:57, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Well, to tell you the truth, they won't agree with me, and it would be a never ending discussion, can we do the same plan as above, but you'll tell the people of those pages to let me show them what i plan to do, and give them 2 reasons why, then i'll see if they approve and if not, i'll tone it down a bit until i feel that it's gone too far, and then i can post it, cause really they won't agree with me, please, let me do this, or at least please be soft enough to listen and hear what i have to say? p.s I don't want to read the page you gave me, can't i just go to your talk page and you can tell me the most important rules and details and stuff, Lo 2 or anyone? P.P.S, can i also just know what i did that you guys blocked me for?
Hi. Neither of us blocked you. Someone else did and he may or may not choose to unblock. Let me know what you want to edit and I'll try to advise but you should probably put something on the talk page where people who edit regularly and spend time on the article will see it. If nobody objects to major changes after a few days it's probably ok to go ahead and make them but say what you're doing in the edit summary and that it's been discussed on the talk page. Merges and deletions and redirects are more complicated. When discussing with other users, try to work to consensus and work out what you agree on and and find some middle ground where you don't. Be really polite, it puts you on stronger ground. If you don't argue too directly you might find them quite accommodating. It's a slow process but better than being reverted.--Lo2u 01:09, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- BTW there's no way to bypass discussing the changes with these people. They're going to oppose them. And if you feel strongly enough that you want to change the page you'll need to discuss it with them. If I agree with you I'll help but I haven't seen what you propose so I really can't say. Anyway post something on my talk page if you like or ask questions and I'll help as much as possible.--Lo2u 01:13, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unblocked
I have unblocked this IP following the above discussion. The address was blocked after it was reported for deletion and editing leading to nonsense English. I agreed - see for example [1] , [2] and [3]. With regard to the above-discussion, you are free to contribute however you wish, but if your edits are not constructive, they are likely to be removed my other editors. If you think no-one will agree with your edits, then isn't that some suggestion that the edits shouldn't be made? Kcordina Talk 08:50, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hello
Hi, I still have your talk page on my watchlist and wanted to give you some advice. What you're doing now, discussing changes, is better than before but you still need to give people a chance to respond. Also you can't just say an article is wrong - you have to say why and you have to cite sources that agree with you and you should use the talk page and not the main article space. Please try to understand that the large-scale blanking of pages is what a lot of deliberate and blatant vandals on Wikipedia do and people who see this might not necessarilly realise that your motivation is different unless you explain. Always try to use edit summaries. I hope this is helpful and please don't take it as a warning. It's not. I just don't want to see you having the same problems as before and think you should know why you're being reverted and warned. Again, I think you should definitely think about getting a username - people are far more generous in their assumptions about registered users and do ask me any questions you have on my talk page. Best. --Lo2u (T • C) 10:45, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- I was going to write something very similar to you, but Lo2u got to it first. Please use edit summaries to indicate what changes you're making, and be prepared to list reasons for changes. If something is not true, have a source ready to prove that. Best, Sproutviewer 15:09, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Please do not remove content from Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Do not blank paragraphs unless you have a source indicating that they are incorrect. Sproutviewer
14:44, 25 July 2006 (UTC) No, I'll just wait until i will register. Please, can you just give me the simple way of the rules and stuff, when i'm signed on? And No, I have to edit even if they don't agree with me, You're All wrong, really. I'll just sign on and then do it, and tell you guys why i'm deleting stuff. I won't come here anymore until i become a user.
Hi 67.167.58.37. Not heard from you for a while. Basically the rules you're asking for, the ones you need to know, are cite your sources and explain what you're doing. If you're convinced others are wrong I assume you have a good reason to think that, so why not say what it is? On the talk page at first and then in your edit summaries. If there isn't a mirror at the back of the stage in The Producers, for example, then say so first before you remove a paragraph that says there is. "You're all wrong" will probably just confuse people and even offend them, which makes them less likely to trust what you're saying and more likely to remove your contributions. For the record I think your original block was a mistake and that if people had realised the thinking behind your edits you would never have been blocked but you never explained. Try to put yourself in the mind of others when you edit: some might have spent time themselves writing a few paragraphs only to return and find it all gone. You need to be nice to them and talk to them first on the article's discussion page. Explain your concerns and see what they think. If you want to go ahead and improve an article, you're welcome to add things but be aware that others might want to make changes to your contributions just as you want to change theirs. Oh and one other thing - try to check what you write for spelling mistakes and so on. If you do these things I'm sure you won't have any problems. I hope you decide to stay. Best --Lo2u (T • C) 23:55, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
