[edit] Articles

Hi, you might want to have a read of Wikipedia:How to write a great article. Your material is excellent, but needs to be formatted to make it appropriate for Wikipedia as an encyclopedia.

Also, the article about yourself has been deleted, as it was about a real person that does not assert their importance or significance. If the assertion is disputed or controversial, it should be taken to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion instead.

You do not need to sign articles. The History tab at the top of the page takes care of that. Evil Monkey - Hello 00:12, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Please refrain from removing content from Wikipedia, as you did to User:Farzon Lotfi. It is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ≈ jossi ≈ t@ 06:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Do not make changes to articles on subjects in which you are not an expert. If you continue to do so you will be blocked as a vandal. The Eightfold Path is not the same as The Middle Way. If you want to know what they are, click on the blue links. Rentwa 13:58, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Repeated Vandalism
If there is a text in which the Buddha identifies the Eightfold Path with the Middle Way, please provide details here. You should include i) the passage itself, ii) the source (sutra, or other) iii) details of the translator and iv) how it may be verified, eg link to a web page, or details of a book or teacher. See Wikipedia:Verifiability.
If it is the case that the Buddha did identify the Eightfold Path with the Middle Way, then that would require detailed explanation of the context, since on the face of it, the two are not the same. Including such a assertion in the introduction to the article Buddhism is not appropriate. If you wish to start an article explaining this doctrine then please register a username and do so. You could then include links to it under 'See also' on the articles. Otherwise, your edits are simply causing confusion and constitute vandalism. If you persist in making them you will be blocked. I removed this text from the Middle Way:
The middle way discovered by a Perfect One avoids both these extremes; it gives vision, it gives knowledge, and it leads to peace, to direct acquaintance, to discovery, to nibbana. And what is that middle way? It is simply the noble eightfold path, that is to say, right view, right intention; right speech, right action, right livelihood; right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. That is the middle way discovered by a Perfect One, which gives vision, which gives knowledge, and which leads to peace, to direct acquaintance, to discovery, to nibbana." Gautama Buddha from the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta.
If this is the reason you keep making the edits referred to please provide a link to the source of the sutra for verifiability. Please note: the burden of establishing verifiability rests with you. You will then need to create a seperate section called 'Commentary on the Eightfold path' or 'Commentary on the Middle Way' or an article on 'Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta', as these would be appropriate places for such advanced philosophy. If you do not, and persist with your current edits you will be blocked. Rentwa 10:00, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
