Hi, could you please stop adding profanity to articles? If you want to make a contribution to Wikipedia but aren't sure what to do, check out Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers for some tips. -- Goatasaur

Would you please not add "so and so's musical career begins" to the year in music articles? These are being phased out, and are a relic of List of musical events. Does this mean that they formed, began performing, signed to a label, signed to a major label or released their debut single/album? We have the space to be more specific in these articles, and should do so. Tuf-Kat

Hi. Thanks for being responsive to my earlier request. I have another one, and please don't take this as an insult in any way. I'm sure your English is better than my skills in your native language. Just a few things to keep in mind, though:

  • Singular band names are grammatically singular. For example, "Tool were formed" is wrong, even though Tool consists of several people -- it should be "Tool was formed" (also "Mr. Big forms", not "Mr. Big form")
  • The correct spellings are "career" (not carrer) and "performed" (not preformed)
  • "The Gin Blossoms was formed in 1987 for emo, adult alternative rock groups like Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Blessed Union of Souls, or Shawn Mullins and disbanded in the end of 1997" doesn't really make sense for several reasons. The most natural way to word the first part is "The Gin Blossoms are an emo and adult alternative rock band, formed in 1997". Saying they formed for other similar bands means they formed for the sole purpose of pleasing the members of those other bands, which I'm sure is not what you meant -- I know prepositions don't always make much sense, but that's the way it is. In addition, in this sentence and many similar ones you have written, you have a tendency to write long sentences that include unrelated facts. In this case:
    • Gin Blossoms formed in 1987.
    • Gin Blossoms are an emo and adult alternative rock band, similar to artists like Blues Traveler, etc...
    • Gin Blossoms disbanded in 1997.
      • These three facts aren't connected and shouldn't be in the same sentence. Short and simple sentences that contain one fact each will be easier to write and usually more natural and easier to read.

These are just a few things I've noticed perusing your contributions. Please don't take this as a request to stay away from the English Wikipedia (though you may want to consider participating in your native language version, which are listed on the Main Page, or speak to User:Brion Vibber about setting up a new one), just some simple advice to make your contributions read easier. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Tuf-Kat

Please see Dexter Holland for many other minute changes I made. I deleted a few facts which seemed nonsensical in English, but other than that, I only cleaned up the language -- if there is anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me. Also, please don't include information about KROQ hits and the like, unless that particular radio station was unusually important to the band's career. Tuf-Kat
