[edit] WARNINGS

This is your last warning. The next time you remove content from a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Trödel 01:20, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Joseph Smith, Jr.. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Budgiekiller 12:35, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing Wikipedia for repeatedly removing content from Joseph Smith, Jr. After the block expires, please come back and make useful contributions instead. --Trödel 14:15, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

See the discussion re your deletions. No other editor has supported your position that the material should be removed pending the correction of the style issue (in fact style issues are not an appropriate reason to delete content in general). If you feel strongly that it needs to be fixed, please fix it yourself rather than removing the material. Please note that the warning not to remove material applies to all 64.139.x.x IP addresses, and if the same material is removed from another IP in that area, a further block may apply. --Trödel 14:18, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Finally, to experiment with Wikipedia by removing content to "see what happens" as you describe in this comment is inappropriate. WP:POINT, one of Wikipedia's policies is that one is not to edit to "prove a point" but rather to support Wikipedia's mission which is to create an excellent encyclopedia. --Trödel 14:21, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing

I have looked at your edits on the Joseph Smith, Jr. article. WIKI is always in need of good editors and is interested in even the casual editor being able to participate.

As you begin to edit, I would encourage you to not make such drastic changes to articles such as whole-scale deleting of setions. This type of action is often viewed as vandalism. Instead, go to the talk page and raise your issues; engage other editors with a proposed majar edit and then proceed with a concensus decision. Due to this being a public encyclopedia where all may participate, the only manner in which to ensure success is for some rules to be followed. I have included the following to assist you in your efforts and hope that you will consider returning and working in a more collegial fashion with other editors.
