User talk:62.255.252.74

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This IP has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to abuse of editing privileges. Further abuse from this IP may result in an immediate block without further warning.

Attention:

This IP address, 62.255.252.74, is registered to Dr Challoner's Grammar School and may be shared by multiple users. Comments left on this page may be received by other users of this IP and appear to be irrelevant. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking.

If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP address of your machine. In many cases, it turns out to be the IP address of a proxy server that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments appearing here, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself.

However, you might still be unable to edit Wikipedia if the IP you are using is blocked due to a MediaWiki "feature". In such a case you could request to be unblocked.

In the event of vandalism from this address, efforts will be made to contact Dr Challoner's Grammar School to report network abuse.

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Sjakkalle (Check!) 09:20, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

why have you blocked me? I was the original person to put it on here, and I changed my mind.

If you don't want your writing to be edited and redistributed by others, do not submit it. This is at the bottom of every edit page. The page does not belong to you. Wizzy 09:36, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

I saw that. So there is no way to change it? someone I know put it on here as a joke, but it was part of my coursework

If you have been blocked (for attempting to blank the page) you either have to wait the block out, or edit from another IP address. The block is probably only 24 hours. You can email the admin who blocked you as well. Try explaining (here - the only page you can edit) why the page should be removed. (I am not an admin) Wizzy 09:42, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

the reason why it should be removed is above, and it won't be a big loss.

What do you mean by "part of my coursework", and in what way is it a joke? It looks like good scientific writing. Did you copy it from somewhere else? (We won't send you to jail if you did, but we need to know.) If so, where (and provide a reference we can check). Lunkwill 10:03, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Same person as above (the "vandal"), different IP: No, in our coursework we have to source everything, but come up with our own definition of water potential. I came up with this, it was put on here (thus becoming something I should source - but I couldn't, as our own definitions were exactly that - our own and original). So if it is not deleted then it is possible I could have taken it off here, as there is no proof that it was me that was using that IP when it was put on (even thought it was).
