"12:51" is the first single lifted from Room on Fire, the sophomore album of acclaimed American Post-punk revival band The Strokes. It was released in the US on November 4, 2003.
Lead singer Julian Casablancas has said the song's title is a reference to the random habit of people to look at clocks before they have sex.
The music video, which was directed by Roman Coppola, is very heavily influenced by the Disney movie Tron.
