4th Reconnaissance Battalion (4th Recon Bn) is a reserve reconnaissance battalion in the United States Marine Corps. It falls under the 4th Marine Division. Marines from 4th Reconnaissance Battalion have served multiple combat tours in Iraq in support of active-duty Force (1st Force Recon Co.) and Division-level (1st/2d/3rd Reconnaissance Battalion) reconnaissance units. In 2006 and 2007, 4th Reconnaissance Battalion headquarters and platoons operated as an independent command in support of Regimental Combat Team 7 in Iraq's Al Anbar province.
