Talk:42nd Street-Grand Central (New York City Subway)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Lexington Av line station (as well as GCT above) is not being air conditioned. They are being air cooled, which is a different process.
The article can stay the way it is unless you want to modify it.

Does anyone think the name of the article should be switched from 42nd Street-Grand Central to Grand Central-42nd Street? Usually, the name of a neighborhood or point of interest (except colleges or universities) usually comes before the name of the street. Besides, the R142 and R142A's announce it as Grand Central-42nd Street. --imdanumber1 21:53, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- A quick spot-check of the MTA website found inconsistent naming. It's 42nd Street–Grand Central in some places, Grand Central–42nd Street in others. However, the former is used on the MTA map, which is probably the piece of literature that customers encounter the most. Given that the map agrees with the current name, I see no reason to change it. If you see the MTA map in PDF format, it Says Grand Central-42nd Street. I think we should go with what the PDF version says since it shows more information, such as bus and rail connections, etc. So I think it should be changed.--imdanumber1 15:05, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
