It's not actually an in-game screenshot. It shows a tiny proportion of the game code on the screen though, is that a subject to copyrigh?. Fair use as in quoting? PD otherwise. --BACbKA
- I think it's legitimate fair use. It's a useful illustration and a very small part of the work. It also doesn't detract from the value because no one could use the illustrated code to run an illegal copy of the game. Superm401 | Talk 20:23, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. And what tag do you think I should be using to tag it? --BACbKA 20:31, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think this image could be fairuse in the 3D Monster Maze article, but I do not think it is fair use by this rationale in Sinclair BASIC. Note the {{game-screenshot}} tag says it is fair use for, identification and critical commentary on the computer or video game in question. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 14:56, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
I agree with the above as long as game-screenshot is the right tag to use. The question is whether it is a "computer game screenshot" at all? And if not (as I suspect), then what tag should be used? --BACbKA 12:24, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
