3CX phone system for Microsoft Windows is a software based Voice over IP (VoIP) phone system that replaces a traditional private branch exchange (PBX). It supports standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) software and hardware phones, and allows calls to be made via a VoIP service provider or via the regular Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).
