[edit] Career
The stable was put together by Jimmy Hart to make fun of the success of boy bands in the music industry at that time.
Three count put 3 green circles in the ring and danced on them while singing along to their songs before their matches which drew abuse from the fans and sometimes their opponents.
The group also performed several songs live on WCW Monday Nitro, including "Down With 3 Count" and "Can't Get You Outta My Heart".
The group managed to win the WCW Hardcore Championship by simultaneously pinning Brian Knobbs on February 18, 2000 They'd lose the title back to Knobbs a month later. In the process of this reign, Shannon Moore became the youngest Hardcore champ in WCW history, a record he never relinquished.
Later, Shane Helms left the group and became a successful solo wrestler, winning the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Karagias and Moore continued as a tag team until WCW's demise in 2001.
On October 2, 2006, a press conference was held for WWE No Mercy. One of the matches on the card was Matt Hardy vs. (Then the longest reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion in history) Gregory Helms. A female fan said to Helms, "You may be the longest reigning champion, but at least Matt wasn't in 3 Count," much to the delight of the fans, as well as King Booker who said, "She's got a point."
