- Coalition of Athens, Corinth, Argos and Thebes fights against Sparta in the Corinthian War
- Agesilaus II, king of Sparta, leads an incursion into Lydia
- Battle of Haliartus: Spartan attempt at a two pronged attack on Boeotia ends in defeat.
- Pausanias fails to join forces with Lysander, and for this is condemned to death and replaced as king of Sparta by his son Agesipolis I. Pausanias escapes execution and lives in exile in Tegea.
