33rd Daytime Emmy Awards

The 2006 Daytime Emmy Awards was telecast on Friday, April 28, 2006, on ABC to commemorate excellence in daytime programming from the previous year (2005) at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. This is the first time they held outside of New York. Nominations were announced on February 8, 2006.

Winners in each category are in bold.

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award went to Caroll Spinney, a television entertainer for over four decades, who has portrayed Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame Street since 1969, appearing in over 4,000 episodes.
