In astronomy, the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey (Two-degree-Field Galaxy Redshift Survey), or 2dFGRS is a redshift survey conducted by the Anglo-Australian Observatory with the 3.9m Anglo-Australian Telescope in the 1990s. This survey determined the large-scale structure in one section of the local Universe. The survey measured the redshifts of over 245,000 galaxies over an area of over 1500 square degrees.
