As they say in the movies, "ooh behave". Seriously, though, we are trying to write an encyclopædia here, so don't make joke edits. Some readers looking for a serious article mightn't find them amusing. Remember, millions of people read Wikipedia, so we have to take what we do a bit seriously here. OK?

As the they say on Father Ted, "down with that sort of thing". We know adding stuff on to Wikipedia can be a bit of fun (what Father Ted would call "craic"), but we have to remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopædia and we have to follow encyclopædic standards of accuracy and relevance.
By all means be funny on talk pages, but we have to take the main articles seriously and not joke about with them. OK?

The joke is running a bit flat, I'm afraid. Humour is all very well but Wikipedia is a serious encyclopædia. It is time to end the joking and get down to some serious work.

OK. It is time for the joking to end. You are potentially offending people, both people here in the Wikipedia community and the wider readership. What you are doing could be seen as vandalism and you could get blocked from editing Wikipedia for it.
You might not get another warning before having a block imposed. So be careful and be serious from here on in.

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Izehar (talk) 23:02, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
- You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires.--Alhutch 23:12, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
