Your repeated efforts to vandalize articles makes it seem that you are unaware that Wikipedia is a serious project. You have been reported to the administration group for continuing vandalism and an administrator will review your contributions shortly. You may not receive another warning before being blocked, so be careful and be serious from now on. If you are blocked, please reconsider your behavior once the block expires.

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Religion. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 01:41, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

This IP address has been blocked for 6 months. I understand this is a shared-IP, but the amount of vandalism coming from this IP is absurd. Any user who wishes to make useful additions need only register an account and login to continue editing. -- RoySmith (talk) 04:09, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Note, I have checked a few other IP addresses in this subnet, and haven't seen anything like the vandalism which this IP had generated. That makes me believe this IP is not just being used by a random collection of subscribers, which makes me even less worried about the collateral damage aspects of a long-term block. -- RoySmith (talk) 04:17, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
Anybody who is inconvenienced by this should just create an account for yourself and continue editing that way. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

This user's request to have the autoblock on their IP address lifted has been DECLINED.

This is getting absurd; I can't even count how many prior blocks there have been. Anon block only, so long block is reasonable

  • Blocking admin: not provided.
  • Decline reason:

You were blocked directly, and not autoblocked. As stated when you added this template to your talk page (see here), you are using the wrong template and therefore your case for unblock will not be reviewed fully since you have not provided a reason for unblocking. Please use {{unblock|your reason here}} instead. Daniel.Bryant T · C ] 23:59, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Note: declined unblock requests may only be removed after two days or when the block has expired.

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | unblock | contribs) asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). This unblock request continues to be visible. Do not replace this message with another unblock request.

Request reason: "I have nothing to do with the vandalism caused here yet I am also blocked? I was trying to contribute information on Voltaire's Treatise on Tolerance but am unable to provide any edits. Is there anything I can do or do I just have an unlucky ISP? -- update: I read further information and will try creating an account now."

Decline reason: "Please create an account; it's easy, free, and most important in this case, will allow you to edit freely over this block. :) Find the "sign in/create account" link, top right corner. If you have any trouble or questions, feel free to make another request or make use of the {{helpme}} template. Sorry for the trouble, and please do register!"

Administrators: This template should be removed when the block has expired, or after 2 days in the case of blocks of 1 week or longer.
