21st Street (also known as 21st Street-Van Alst) is a station on the IND Crosstown Line of the New York City Subway.

The station is in poor condition. The wall tile has been damaged by underground springs. The north exit leads to 21st Street and the LIRR. The southern portion of the mezzanine is closed. This area is used for storage and employee offices. This station is among the worst in the city in terms of condition.
