[edit] October 2005
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopaedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Pokémon, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. -- ( drini's vandalproof page ☎ ) 19:07, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
Re: Your edit to Pokémon: Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. -Colin Kimbrell 19:14, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
This is the address of an entire school, and many people use the computers, so I would like to apologize on their behalf for some of the bad apples who use this site. Thanks.

On this edit: Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. . -- Hoary 14:22, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Unfortunately, this is the IP address of an entire school which I go to. I would like to know if an excepetion can be made for my username, because I browse and edit Wikipedia at my school and I don't commit vandalism. You should keep the IP address blocked, though - there are plenty of people who are...less than polite on the internet.--DA Roc 03:32, 11 November 2005 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Davidrowe (talk • contribs).
Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- 15:03, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

You should stay off the page. Seriously. Wikipedia grows because people who are knowledgable about topics contribute to them. You have not/do not attend the Horace Mann School. We do, and we'll take care of our own page. Please leave us alone. Respectfully - HM Grade 10 students —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.76.182.20 (talk • contribs).
- If you edit in a NPOV style then no one will change the edits. If you add information that can only be verified by yourselves it will probably get reverted. You are correct that Wikipedia grows because people who are knowledgable about topics contribute. Wikipedia is also only useful if the information is verifiable. David D. (Talk) 23:22, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

- How can YOU verify information better than we can? You apparently never went here, and unless you show up at our school and walk around on campus in your spare time, we really don't think you have any right to speak whatsoever. - HM Grade Ten students —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 207.76.182.20 (talk • contribs).

- How can i verify? Possibly you do not understand the spirit of this term in wikipedia. Verification means there is documented evidence publically available. it does not mean personal recollection or personal experience. So if you can't find a public record of the information you wish to add do not add it. In addition there is the issue of whether the information is notable. In this case, notablility means with respect to the history of the school. This does not include the day to day events that occur at the school. I suggest you get the school to give you editorial rights to one of the schools own web pages if that is what you wish to document. David D. (Talk) 15:53, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

- Hi, HM Grade Ten students. Please, please read these two pages: Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Verifiability. Wikipedia literally cannot accept information that is obtained by showing up somewhere and walking around: that's "Original Research", pure and simple. It's strange, but true: if you want to publish that sort of information, it needs to be somewhere else. "Verifiable" means "verifiable in published, reliable sources", not "true". —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 16:10, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

- I would also encourage you all to open wikipedia accounts so you can edit with a User name. The problem with anon editing, especially from a school computer, is that your reputation can be tarnished by any idiot that starts vandalising wikipedia. From the messages above you can see that some students from HM have not been making sensible edits. Any good edits you make with this IP will get more than average attention due to the history of vandalism from this IP. David D. (Talk) 18:41, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
