[edit] Patent info

Thanks for the patent information. It's very helpful to have external links to patents. Be careful about controversial subjects, though. You can't just revert something when you disagree with it. See Wikipedia:NPOV and Wikipedia:Edit war - Omegatron 20:56, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)

Hi. Can you please describe "longitudinal electric waves" and "telluric currents"? - Omegatron 16:07, May 10, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] List of ancient Egypt mysteries

While I may not agree with you on the usefulness of the page, I would like to commend you on your editing work on the page. You're doing every legal thing in your power to save it. I'll be interested to see how this turns out. If you think the page has changed so much, that I would wanna change my vote, just hop over to my talk page and let me know. Happy editing! Please do not continue to attempt to close the VfD discussion. That is not an appropriate activity for anonymous users. If you want to help with these kinds of maintenance activities, I recommend that you create a user account, establish a pattern of edits and credibility with the community and eventually seek adminship. We could certainly use the help clearing out the backlog but only with the proper controls. Rossami (talk) 14:58, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] To the user that created Unsolved problems in Egyptology

It would be helpful if you got an account and entered the discussion on the vfd. To my knowledge their is no rule that states that after 5 days the discussion is closed. I have been on several ones that have lasted for weeks. Also, keep in mind a decison is based upon how many votes are collected but what the consensus is. As of now their is none. Please come to the vfd and make a comment on the why the article is encyclopediac that will help your vfd cause. Also when you comment make a addition to the list with Comment: in bold and then describe your reasoning. Falphin 18:18, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I was under the impression that it was 5 days (see this link). Some thought that it should be 4 days. - Anon (Search for the lines "At the end of five days" in the policy page)

[edit] Albert Einstein

Please don't change the infobox, photographs, etc. if you don't want to "lose content" in their being reverted. Nobody is trying to remove content here, but the nature of these changes makes it pretty hard not to when you intersperse them with genuine additions to content. I've taken the time twice now to go through and re-add, sentence by sentence, everything you did that didn't involve picture changing. Please do not change the article pictures again before discussing them on the talk page, it is becoming unproductive. --Fastfission 16:43, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

You have broken the Three Revert Rule. Please stop reverting this page. Now you've scrambled up the images. The only "info" that has been removed that I can see is a small mispelling of mad scientist. Please knock it off. --Fastfission 17:10, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Only? no .. the "Einstein's first scientific work was written". The bohr-einstein debate link also. -Anon
You're using this as an excuse to revert your infobox and now you've mucked everything up. I went through by hand in my last edit and re-added that "content" back in. Please stop. This is not how Wikipedia editing works. --Fastfission 17:15, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I've removed all the pic in the intro. - Anon
So now you're just vandalizing the article? Thanks, we appreciate that a lot around here. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. --Fastfission 17:30, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Nope. The pic is there ... just lower in the article. The information and the links are all good. It's not a vandalization. -Anon
You're removing the article's main picture because you won't wait for a consensus about whether or not an infobox should be there. That's vandalism in my book, either that or it is just childish. Please look at the page on WP:Wikiquette if you want to continue editing here. ---Fastfission 17:38, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I'm removing the picture from the intro because the intro doesn't need one. The picture is better located in the place it is. There should be a infobox in the biography; that's whyh there are infoboxes. It's not vandalism to move the pic to a better place. -Anon
It's vandalism to remove the intro picture just because you aren't getting your way. The vast majority of biography pages here don't have infoboxes, they are not official policy, it is generally a page-by-page issue. You are being highly disruptive, you are not helping the page develop, because it will likely be reverted back to a non-vandalized state before the day it out. Then someone will have to go back through and add all of the little lines you are putting in there if they don't want to "remove content". Can't you see this is counter-productive? --Fastfission 18:57, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please note that violating the Three Revert Rule is grounds for blocking. If you revert again after this warning, I shall unfortunately have to prevent your IP from editing for 24 hours. --khaosworks 19:15, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Blocked; you can't say that you weren't warned. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 19:17, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Tesla articles

Removing "contents disputed" tags before there is consensus among the article editors to remove them does count as Wikipedia:Vandalism, and can get you blocked - repeated violations can incur blocks of up to one month. Similarly, Wikipedia style is that an article about "Joe Smith" is the biography of Joe Smith, and merging the two is completely appropriate. Please do not remove these tags, or you will be blocked (and other people sharing this address will suffer). Noel (talk) 19:47, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Einstein again

Do you realize that you're going to get nothing out of this little edit war except probably getting your IP permanently blocked from Wikipedia? Do you really want to contribute here, or what? If you do, I seriously urge you to 1. get an account (they are free), and 2. stop screwing around. Your changes get reverted because nobody but you thinks they should be there. Discuss it on the talk page, maybe you can convince someone else of your position. Otherwise you're on the fast-track to blocksville and you're just wasting your time, and you should probably get a more productive hobby. --Fastfission 19:52, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Oh, you can ignore the wikpedia policies, but no one else can? -Anon
Riiight. Look, do you want to actually be a productive editor, or are you just screwing around? Are you really going to make me go through the little job of requesting that this IP address be blocked from editing Wikipedia? That's not going to further your goals or get you any sympathy.--Fastfission 19:58, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I have contributed productively (several patents, turn of the century books information, etc...).
If you are threatening me, that's not nice. Am I totally disreguarding the Contributing FAQ? No.
If you ignore the Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines, you should be blocked! - Anon
Note that since this anon editor works from a public library, so he is in effect already blocked for 16 hours a day. If he endangers the ability of others to access Wikipedia from that location, you can notify the library administration. --Blainster 28 June 2005 22:50 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Can you please read Wikipedia:Vandalism and see what is and is not "vandalism" here on Wikipedia? Hint: "stuff I don't agree with" is not vandalism, and I am really tired of POV-warriors using bogus charges of "vandalism" to justify what they are doing; I personally consider such behaviour to be disrupting Wikipedia. Noel (talk) 21:26, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Ditto. I am on the verge of calling an RFC on this editor. Shame, makes constructive edits at times, but lacks Wikiquette. -- Natalinasmpf 22:30, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summaries

Please take the time to add edit summaries for your entries. They are very helpful to others, and also help you to keep track of your changes, not to mention being part of the 'Wiki Way'. --Blainster 28 June 2005 20:17 (UTC)

[edit] Annus Mirabilis Papers and the 3RR rule

[edit] Iraq War

It's probably a good idea to propose a name change like that on the article's talk page first. Incidentally, article names are changed by means of the "page move" feature, which is available only to logged-in users. The advantage of this feature is that it moves the article's history to the new name. — Dan | Talk 18:03, 27 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Free energy dab page

Hi, when proposing that a page ignores the Manual of Style guidelines, as you have done here, please provide a reason why the page benefits from non-standard formatting. This is particularly important for disambiguation pages, which serve only one function – to help users navigate to the desired article. Thanks. --Muchness 17:38, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
