Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopaedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Strahan, Tasmania, are considered vandalism. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. -- (drini's page|☎) 03:42, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Mario, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. (ESkog)(Talk) 22:34, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ClarkBHM 01:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- I would like to express my deep concern at the fact that these 'last warnings' and so on are being directed at an IP that iserves as a proxy for literally thousands of school students. Raena 00:19, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
I would like to second that - I am one of those students and probably 100 000 students go under this IP all over Tasmania. This is very disappointing that we may not have access to this source and I would muchly appreciate if this could be excused.
Folks, if you are concerned about vandalism from your school's IP address, I can suggest some concrete steps for you to take. First, realize that even if this IP is blocked, it only blocks access to editing Wikipedia. Everyone can still read the content, so you'll be able to make use of this valuable resource. Second, if you want to continue to edit pages after a block goes into effect, create a Wikipedia account for yourself. Its really easy: at the top-right of every Wikipedia page is the "sign in / create new account" link; just click that and you can create an account that you can use to make legitimate edits to pages. Finally, consider talking to your school's IT administrator(s) to see if they can help find the vandals and stop them doing this. it would help you and everyone else out there who wants and informative and accurate Wikipedia. - It's public libraries, too. There are numerous proxies in this range and they serve an entire state's education system. I would not bet on the IT department that manages this proxy being able to keep an eye on that many people. Further, my reading of the blocking policy suggests that people are unable to edit from a blocked IP, even with an account. If that isn't accurate then fine, but in the meantime, I'd have serious questions about preventing students from being full participants. Raena 11:13, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm also a student affected by the abuse of this shared IP. For anyone who has previously vandalized parts of Wikipedia, it may be preferable to go to http://www.uncyclopedia.org, which, like Wikipedia, is a Wiki digest, but may be more welcoming of nonsense, provided it is acceptable. ~Silentwolf 9:55, 05 April 2006 (EST)
Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia! Your test worked, and thank you for reverting or removing it yourself. The best way to do tests in the future would be to use the sandbox. You can look at these pages as well: how to edit a page, the tutorial, and how to write a great article. All of these pages are good places to start. Again, thanks, and we hope that you will like Wikipedia. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 01:42, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
