- March 12 - Purported time traveler John Titor suggests "avoiding Washington DC" at approximately 3:45am, March 12, 2015. This is assumed to be the time of "N-Day" in which Russia launches a nuclear attack on the United States, Europe and China in support of one faction in a second U.S. civil war.
- March 14 - At 54 seconds past 9:26 am; the date and time (3/14/15 9:26:54) will make the first 10 digits of pi rounded to the last digit, using American date formatting.

- July 14 - NASA's New Horizons spacecraft is expected to fly by Pluto and Charon at 50,000 kilometers per hour and explore the area for five months until distance becomes too great. New Horizons will then enter the Kuiper Belt and eventually leave our Solar System.
