The 2007 NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 18, 2007 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the first time the NBA All-Star Game will be played in a city without an NBA franchise. Announced on August 5, 2006 it will be the 56th annual All-Star Game. The NBA, led by Commissioner David Stern, will not allow wagering on the results of the game in the state of Nevada. Unlike previous All-Star Games this weekend long event will not include traditional highlights such as the Rookie Challenge, Three-Point Shootout and Slam Dunk Contest.
