The Buffalo Sabres 2006-07 Season began with controversy, as the team changed their whole look, reverting back to the blue and gold they wore prior to the past decade. The controversy was because of the logo. This new logo resembled to many a slug, or a wig. There were strong efforts to prevent the team from wearing this new jersey, although none were successful. The Sabres continued to wear this jersey throughout the start of the year, and were very successful, tying an NHL record by winning their first 10 games to start the season. They picked up at least a point in every game until exactly one month into the season, when they lost on November 4, 2006 to Toronto by a score of 4-1. It wasn't until two weeks later, on November 18 to Ottawa 4-1, that Buffalo lost their first road game of the year. Officially two months into the season, and the Sabres have picked up at least a point in all but four games. Picked by many before the year to take the Eastern Conference, the Buffalo Sabres have, two months into the season, behind stellar goaltending by Martin Biron and Ryan Miller, lived up to those expectations.
