The 1st Canadian Regiment was raised on November 19, 1775 at Pointe Oliver, Quebec for service with the Continental Army. They would see action at the Battle of Trois-Rivières, Battle of Valcour Island, Fort Stanwix and the Battle of Rhode Island. The regiment was disbanded January 1, 1781 at King's Ferry, New York.
