[edit] Villeneuve disqualification

Jacques Villeneuve's qualification was disqualified because he ignored yellow flags in free practice. He ran under probation because similar incident happened during practice of 1997 Italian Grand Prix. He was suspensed for the race, but Williams team did a protest and Villeneuve was allowed to race, starting from pole position. He finished fifth and the decision was going to be given before next race, but team pulled its protest and Villeneuve was disqualified, but he was then allowed to race in the last race of the season.
