Talk:1980 World Series
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
During today's World Series game, after Tony LaRussa challenged some sort of substance Kenny Rogers appeared to have on the palm of his hand, the TV announcers on Fox related the story of KC manager Jim Frey challenging Steve Carlton similarly and the umpires made Carlton wash his hands after the sixth inning. Carlton then walked three guys and gave up a double, implying that whatever substance he had been using to aid his pitching was gone. If anyone has more details and perhaps another source, it would be good for the article. 0-0-0-Destruct-0 04:00, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
