Talk:1970s music groups
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This entry is sorely in need of proper treatment. Yeah like duh, the 1970s was the period between the 1960s and the 1980s - just about sums up what it currently says. What about the way psychedelic music evolved into prog rock, hippy into glam, and then punk came along to turn the whole thing over? After that New Wave jumped on the bandwagon and set the tone for the 80s. And that's being totally simplistic as well. Also, the 8 track is only relevant to the US - in Europe and the UK, the cassette was far more important, 8 tracks didn't catch on. Entries like this are needed - it is hard to find a coherent structure to all the music/bands stuff here, but this is barely worth the effort it took to commit it to the 'pedia, IMHO.
