1976 Democratic National Convention

The 1976 National Convention of the U.S. Democratic Party at Madison Square Garden in New York City, nominated Jimmy Carter of Georgia for President and Walter F. Mondale of Minnesota for Vice President. Barbara Jordan gave the keynote speech.
The convention was the first in New York since the 103 ballot 1924 convention.
