Hi - are you just testing Wikipedia or are your changes to the equation actually correct? Evercat 10:51, 4 May 2005 (UTC)

The change should be correct. I'm researching Helmzholtz coils for my physics coursework and I heard that somebody else had changed the equation so other people would use the wrong one and thus get less marks. The first change I made was to test if changes could be made (I wasnt aware of this before) then I looked up the actual equation and changed it to it's proper form as shown on the following forum discussion:

http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?mode=hybrid&t=98749 (see post number 18)

Please be aware other people doing the coursework may have the same idea, and that the equation should remain in the form given in the forum post I linked to.

OK, thanks. By the way, someone using this IP address was temporarily banned for graffiti in an apparently unrelated matter - if you (ie the author of the above) come back, give me an email and I'll unblock you... (or it will expire in 24 hours anyway...) Evercat 13:41, 19 May 2005 (UTC)

I am incredibly apologetic and sorry for my friends behaviour. We are currently in an ICT classroom and (I think) the entire class is using the same shared IP address, so banning our IP would probably stop the rest of our class from viewing Wikipedia for a while, which would suck a little. Again, I apologise. I did attempt to discourage him but he was under the impression that it would be "hilarious" (and although it was a little, that's besides the point). --195.194.74.215 11:46, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
