The 1957 Uber Cup was the inaugural Uber Cup; a women's badminton tournament created by Betty Uber. It was held in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, England on 18 March 1957, and 11 nations took part[1][2]. It is also referred to as taking place in 1956-57. The United States won the event, defeating Denmark.

Only three teams took part in first edition tournament, Denmark is bye in the first round and through to the final. It should be four teams, including New Zealand (qualified from Australasia) but later retired.
