[edit] ELCA

Please stop vandalizing the ELCA article and/or extreme POV edits to it. Further instances will result in a block from editing. EdwinHJ | Talk 21:17, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

This is a "public" type IP address. If you ban it, over 1,000 people that use computers here on a regular basis will be banned from aiding Wikipedia. Also, I didn't vandalize it. I simply made it more truthful then it was. There are some things wrong with it, some that people in the ELCA reject. If I have an extreame POV, then so do you. But hey, you seem to think that your extreame opinion is right. How come mine can't be, huh? Because you have administrative power or whatever?

A public IP address for Concordia University, Seward, that is.

[edit] Sacramental union is not Consubstantiation

For the life of me I cannot imagine where you would get the idea that the Lutheran position on the Lord's Supper is Consubstantiation. Consubstantiation is a philosophical attempt to explain the Real Presence. I know for a fact that the LCMS does not equate the Sacramental Union with consubstantiation. Your characterizing the paragraph that you revised in the Sacramental Union article as "liberal" is also POV that is not NPOV. drboisclair 04:24, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WELS logo

If you feel the WELS entry needs correction or clarification in the regards you mention on Talk:Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod, make those changes. Wikipedia strives for accuracy, and your help in improving it is welcome. As for the errors or lack of positional descriptions in the other articles, again, feel free to add them to correct the problems if you see there are some.

On another point, Wikipedia is not a religious organization. It's an encyclopedia. As a WELS member, I can assure you that I'm not going to be excommunicated for writing here. While false doctrine may be present on wikipedia from the WELS POV, it behooves us to present the WELS POV in addition to the others so that we are accurately represented by ourselves, rather than inaccurately by others. At the same time, as Wikipedia editors, we must strive to maintain an encyclopaedic tone.

As far as the use of the WELS logo goes, it is covered under fair use law. See Wikipedia:Fair Use for more details on the policy of fair use on Wikipedia. There is not a legal problem with its use here, and there is no reason to remove it. --Lendorien 19:47, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
