Why the modification to the Glocester, RI page to include the line "including Chrissa Vallese" in the 2000 census info. Are you related to the Vallese's (Joe, Chrissa, Jessica, Justin?)

[edit] Incorrect categorization
Please stop adding incorrect categories to articles. The categories for "Greek ..." refer to the Republic of Greece, not Cyprus. And please stop making links like "Greek Cypriot" linking to "Greece". Cyprus is not a part of the Republic of Greece. These edits are very close to vandalism. --Valentinian 09:53, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stop assigning articles to wrong categories
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You are deliberately marking long articles as stubs and assigning articles about Cypriot people to categories reserved for Greek nationals. This is vandalism and unacceptable. --Valentinian 23:14, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] George Regas
A tag has been placed on George Regas, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why George Regas is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:George Regas. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. --Tom 00:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] By the way
She doesn't describe herself as "Greek" (that would be good for listing her in that category). She describes her mother as "Greek, German and something else". Big difference. Mad Jack 17:56, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, she does call her self "Half Filipino", but that is borderline. She doesn't call her self "Greek" at any point. Yes, I know she is referring to her ethnicites. I can't see the encyclopedic value of listing someone who is 1/16th Greek. In any case, if you want to put someone in a category or "list of X Americans", you need a source that actually describes them as "X American" or "X" (if they are also American), not "of X descent", "X great-grandmother", etc. That's the way it is now being done across the board, in accordance with the No Original Research policies. [edit] Thiessen
Just so we're clear, I will certainly be removing this category repeatedly. Wikipedia does not operate under the one drop rule. If you have a source that says Thiessen "is Greek, Greek-American", etc. you may include it. If not, you simply may not. Cheers, Mad Jack 19:36, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
