160 (Wales) Brigade, was originally part of the Territorial Army's 53rd (Welsh) Division in the First and Second World Wars. Post-war it was, for a time, 160th (South Wales) Brigade of the 53rd Division until the Territorial Army was reorganised as the TAVR. It is now a regional brigade coming under the 5th Division based in Shrewsbury.

It is not a formation that would be deployed as other brigades like 12th (Mechanised) Brigade would, but is a regional command responsible for all of Wales.

160 Bde organise an annual patrolling competition in the Brecon Beacons known as Exercise CAMBRIAN PATROL.
