A tag has been placed on your article Rothacher, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Rothacher is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Rothacher. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. - Alex.tan 15:22, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] French law on secularity and conspicuous religious symbols in schools
Hi,
You suggest you were the English assistant who got expelled. Is that correct? Normally, we don't publish original research, or uncheckable personal facts. However, I understand that Le Monde can be wrong.
May I suggest that you create an account instead of editing anonymously? This would make things much easier, as well as granting you some more confidentiality (because of your IP address, everybody knows where you work). David.Monniaux 16:38, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
- Good advice. You can create your own user name (or change it) to protect anonymity and your own password (or change it). Thomasmeeks 12:22, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
I think I may be wrong. The dates are wrong for me, so please delete my update if possible.
I was an English assistant expelled in 1998 from a school in Creteil for not removing a turban. The poor boy in the Le Monde article was probably someone different - although I didn't know there were any Sikhs in the academie.
I changed it because the Amnesty International Report on religious freedom in France for the year had me wrongly listed as a pupil as well.
Thanks anyway for the tips about anonimity.
